About Our Movement

This initiative is designed to help people to think about moving more and encourage people to find ways to support others. Movement paired with community-building is a powerful combination that will lead to a more vibrant future for all Yarmouth residents.

Our Community

Make Your Move Yarmouth has secured a transformative opportunity as the recipient of multi-year support from the Nova Scotia Department of Communities Culture Tourism and Heritage (CCTH).

We strive to create a healthier community where residents connect, and movement becomes a social norm. We aim to instigate a cultural shift by making simple, everyday movements a regular part of life, such as standing more, gardening, or parking farther away.

Embracing the
Power of Movement

We invite and encourage workplaces, schools, and neighbours to step up and become catalysts for change in our community. By embracing the power of simple movements we can collectively combat social isolation, foster inclusion and belonging, and promote better mental and physical health. Together, we can create a vibrant and connected environment where residents thrive and lead active lives.

Join us in this transformative journey towards a healthier and more engaged community.
